Mom, I Almost Joined a Cult

I have about 10 drafts of posts I have attempted to write over the past few weeks, but to be honest, I was speechless after Hurricane Helene and feeling into the devastation back home. It felt unfair to write about how I am the happiest I have been in years when my community in the states was face to face with the aftermath of the hurricane, not to mention the political tension.

But it’s true. I am the happiest I have been in years.
