Dear Megan,
You started watching “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” over two years ago. Last night you finally finished the series. It’s a great thing it’s just you and the dogs right now, because they didn’t flinch when you ugly cried during her set on The Gordon Ford Show. You watched it again tonight to see if it would have the same effect. It did.
This is the part that got you:
“I want a big life. I want to experience everything. I want to break every rule there is. They say ambition is an unattractive trait in a woman. Maybe. But you know what’s really unattractive? Waiting around for something to happen. Staring out a window, thinking the life you should be living is out there somewhere but not being willing to open the door and go get it. Even if someone tells you you can’t. Being a coward is only cute on The Wizard of Oz.”
Why did this hit you so hard?
